Scope

Rapid advancement of high-speed network and multimedia technologies makes virtual environment more realistic and distributed over gigabit network. Many new and innovative application fields including tele-medicine, virtual museum, electronic library, e-learning, industrial design, and entertainment are realized by using computer graphics, image processing, high-performance computing, and ubiquitous sensing technologies. The VENOA-2009 is the first international workshop to serve as a forum for exchanging information and ideas on the fields of virtual environment and network-oriented multimedia applications. This workshop will be held in conjunction with Complex, Intelligent and Software Intensive Systems (CISIS-2009) International Conference to be held at Fukuoka, Japan. The workshop seeks original contributions in all relevant areas, including but not limited to the following topics.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit research and application papers following the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at one of the following web pages:

The papers should be 6 pages long. They will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition. The papers should be submitted electronically via CISIS-09 website. If there is any problem during submission please contact Hiroaki Nishino (e-mail: hn at csis.oita-u.ac.jp).

Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.

Proceedings of the Workshops will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press.
